Levels of suffering in life
There are several levels of suffering in life. We have cleared the suffering on physical level: If you break your leg, we know how to fix it. The second level is chronic illnesses. Like diabetes. We are working on that and made a huge progress but we are still not there. Another level of suffering would be existential suffering: We wonder why we exist.
The hard problem of consciousness = The brain only shows chemical activity. How does atoms, neurons and chemical produce this experience? No scientist knows how it happens.
Where am I going with this hard problem of consciousness is that we are not our body, we are not our mind. We are the consciousness in which all experience occurs. If you are observing a thought then you know you are not the thought. If you are observing your emotion it is because you are not that emotion. Observing your body means you are not your body.
Color red does not exists. It is just an experience.
Number one problem of suffering in life is that you don’t know who you are. You are not your body nor your mind. The second problem is that grasping and clinging to the dream of reality we think is real. The third is being afraid of anything that is unpleasant – pain … abandonment or no respect. Forth is identifying – the ego of identity. And fifth is the fear of death. They are all connected. They all are the same fear. That is the biggest question anybody should be asking: Who am I or what am I? It leads you ultimately to awareness of awareness and when you discover that, that is nirvana.
Get rid of suffering in life with Consciousness
There is nothing behind consciousness. That is the pure level. Everyday experience is modified experience.
Naive realism = the physical world exists exactly as perceived by the 5 human senses.
If you question your habitual certainties you will realize that you know nothing. Everything we know is made up. It is a human construct.
God’s language is silence, everything else is a poor translation. — Rumi
I dwell on the question: what is behind my provisional identity?
- You know that you are not entity in space and time
- Emergence of platonic truths: goodness, beauty, harmony, love, compassion, joy, equanimity
- Loss of the fear of death
Our normal everyday experience is the outcome of our social conditioning. Your reality shifts as your consciousness shifts. How do you know what you know? What is the source of knowing and experience?
What is Epigenetics
You are born with 25 000 genes from your parents. You also have 2 to 20 million bacteria in your gut (microbiome). The two interact with each other and produce what you call human organism that maintain itself. Epigenetics says that daily activity influences the activity of your genes.
Practices
I start my day with questions:
- Who am I?
- What do I want?
- Who wants to know?
- What is my purpose?
- What am I grateful for?
And after that I go to 2 hour meditation.
Love & Gratitude
This human experience is a vacation we have on this planet Earth so we might just enjoy it.
Love is not an emotion nor sentiment. Love is the ultimate truth at the heart of creation. Pure love is the same as pure consciousness.
Why is it so important to tell yourself a story about gratitude? Gratitude opens the door to abundance consciousness. You cannot experience hostility at the same time.
