3 tips to overcome fear of Public Speaking

Notes:

Why get rid of the fear of public speaking?

The gift that I want to give to people is the gift of communication. The gift of communicating your thoughts effectively, persuasively, influentially. Does it happen to you sometimes that you walk out of conversation and you are thinking “I wish I said this…”. I want you to say the things you want to say and express the way you want to. I will change the relationship with you and other people. Don’t let fear of public speaking to get in the way.

Communicate with stories

Our DNA loves stories. Every great revolution has been preceded by great speeches. Speaking is one of the most powerful things in the world. Adolf Hitler wrote in his Mein Kampf that voice is more powerful than a pen. The most massive advantage you can give yourself in the corporate world and Entrepreneur space is to be able to speak. Being able to speak can triple your income. It obliterates all other advantages. The most powerful you can do for yourself in your professional life.

How fear of public speaking comes to life?

Nobody was born afraid of public speaking. At the age of 4 most children hear words “control yourself” and “think before you speak”. Something similar happens later in school when teachers call upon you when you don’t pay attention.

Fear of missing out is the one thing that is holding you from total abundance. Celebrate it when you are missing out!

3 tips for any speaker

One of the most important things for speaker is never to show them that you are nervous. Did it happen to you that you were giving a public speech to an audience and after you finished they came up to you and praised because you did a good job. Then when you did it again – were you nervous the second time? If sou – why? Because you did not believe them the first time.

  1. Breathe. The way you breathe has everything to do with how safe you feel. In nature you would only breath fully if there is nothing around that could threaten you.
  2. Gaze at the audience. When you see fresh lion tracks, do you gaze at it or do you stare?
  3. Start the talk with predictable laugh

Excitement is nervousness about something cool right now. Nervousness is excitement about something scary.
